I can't say enough about this hotel. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. The service is impeccable, the rooms are very clean and the location is fantastic! The view from the observation deck is amazing!! The breakfast in the restaurant was also very good. I do wish the toilet in the room was a little more private but I understand the size limitation. Overall very nice. If I find myself back in Edinburgh, I will stay here without hesitation!

I have no idea about the rooms, they are expensive. I went to the rooftop to have drinks and dinner, and that was great. The view is fantastic as it is 360 from all Edinburgh. Great for taking pictures. Drinks are of a decent price. Dinner was delicious. I had a burger wich was on point. My friends had some lamb and fish, both exceptional. Would recommend for an afternoon of chill fun with friends.

Stayed at W Edinburgh for 2 nights in July 2025 and had a mixed experience. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance to many of Edinburgh’s main attractions. I specifically chose this hotel for its rooftop and view, which truly were the highlight of the stay — stunning and memorable. James from room service was efficient and responsive — I appreciated the prompt service. That said, breakfast was underwhelming. While there was some variety, the quality and selection didn’t meet expectations for a hotel in this price range. The orange juice tasted bottled, not freshly squeezed. Also, the water pressure in the shower was low, which detracted from the overall comfort. The hotel’s modern design is visually appealing, but the room layout and amenities don’t justify the high price. For the rate I paid — and as a Marriott Titanium member — I expected a more elevated experience or at least a noticeable room upgrade, which unfortunately did not happen (or worse, happened unnoticeably). I usually give 5 stars to W Hotels, but this one gets 4 stars due to overpricing and underdelivering. I would only recommend W Edinburgh for the rooftop and central location. However, you can access the rooftop by visiting one of the public restaurants like Sushi Samba, so staying here isn’t necessary to enjoy the view. Not recommended for room quality or overall value.
