One of finest hotel at the heart of Guangzhou City . The room facilities are superb , the bed was good and the housekeeping staff are very efficient . Near by hotel also had some great restaurants , some of it do have Michelin recognition. For food u can try ; 佬財大排檔 (food good beer and seafood) , 15 mins walks from the hotel . Da Ge Fah (opposite road ) on top of Starbucks , about 5 mins walks best known for Rosted Pigeon , Michelin Restaurant. The mornings breakfast are great too , Overall was a lovely experience ! 8.5/10
🏨 Location & Accessibility W Hotel Guangzhou is located in the heart of the city, surrounded by modern high-rises. While this central location is convenient for business and shopping, don’t expect a scenic view unless you’re staying on the higher floors. 🛏️ Room & Facilities The rooms were very nice — spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed with great in-room amenities. However, when we arrived at 3 PM (the standard check-in time), our rooms weren’t ready and we were asked to wait for an hour, which was a bit inconvenient. 😊 Service & Staff The service throughout our stay was excellent. Staff were genuinely friendly, attentive, and professional. Check-out was also fast and smooth, leaving us with a very good final impression. 🍽️ Food & Overall Value Breakfast was a highlight — lots of variety, high quality, and something for every taste. Considering the comfort, service, and food, the hotel offers great value for a luxury stay. Overall: Despite the delayed check-in, our experience at W Hotel Guangzhou was very enjoyable. Beautiful rooms, warm staff, and top-tier breakfast make it a hotel we would highly recommend.
Stayed during 21-22 July. There’s no umbrella in the room and hotel concierge ran out of them. Had to brave the rain to cross the road to Lawson and purchase one to come back. How could a 5 star hotel in rain-frequent city not have sufficient inventory of umbrellas? As a reference, i stayed in 2 Sheraton hotels in the same week in 2 other cities and both are equipped with an umbrella in the room. Secondly, dehumidifier ran out as well so had to endure a humid room during summer. Thirdly, the wall mounting next to the bed is reeking of some awful smell and staining the pillows. Overall, this W hotel doesnt live up to the standard one would expect of the W brand. Would caution anyone to stay away. With the rate W is charging, there are many other better options in the city.
