A perfect example of outstanding hospitality! Our stay at W Sydney was absolutely delightful from start to finish. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by Joanne at the front desk, whose warm smile and efficient check-in made us feel instantly welcome. She went above and beyond to ensure all our questions were answered and even provided us a room upgrade, early check-in and late check-out. The room was immaculate and comfortable, and the overall service throughout our stay was exceptional. We truly appreciated Joanne's professionalism and genuine care. We can't wait to return!
We had a wonderful 2-day stay at the W Sydney. We celebrated by 50th birthday and the service was outstanding, we received 4 complimentary free drinks and a 25 minibar voucher. From the moment we checked in, we were welcomed with drinks and happy smiles. The Oasis Studio 2 bedroom was fabulous and big for our family of four. All the facilities were fantastic and we went to both bars on Saturday night. I lost a diamond earring and a lady working at the 29 Bar called me to let me know they had found it. I felt very grateful. The pools were beautiful and good to relax. We highly recommend the hotel and thank you very much to the wonderful staff for making my birthday truly special and memorable!!! We will definitely come back and recommended this hotel to our friends.
Our recent stay at W Sydney had its highs and lows. Let’s start with the good: after requesting a room change, we were moved to a room with a fantastic view—modern, stylish, and truly reflective of the W brand’s flair. However, it’s worth noting that our initial room had a large structural pole obstructing the window, which was quite disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. (I’ll attach a photo for reference.) Thankfully, the staff did accommodate our request to move, and the second room made a noticeable difference in our experience. Another point worth mentioning is our experience in the bar/lounge area. My wife and I were quietly working on our laptops while enjoying the ambiance, and we ordered a coffee followed by a soda with lemon and mint. While the service was prompt, the interaction left much to be desired. The waitress, who had a distinctive appearance (Asian features with blue contact lenses), served us both times without saying a single word—not even a basic acknowledgment or reply to our “thank you.” We found this odd and a bit cold, especially for a premium hospitality environment. We gave it another try to see if it was just a one-off, but unfortunately, the same silence was repeated. Overall, W Sydney offers an undeniably stylish atmosphere and, once in the right room, a great view. However, the level of personal service—especially in a hotel that presents itself as a luxury experience—could use more attention and warmth. Sometimes, it’s the small human touches that define a stay.
