W15 Weligama

This branch of W15 is heaps better than my other experience in W15 Ambuluwawa. The location is perfect, its right on the beach and the best thing is the view you get out of the rooms day or night you can see the waves as the area is lit up by some spot lights which makes this very unique. Speaking of the service, the front staff was amazing, especially the receptionist who upgraded our room to a better one as it was our anniversary. They even provided us a cake. I highly recommend this place as their service and rooms are absolutely brilliant. Thank you W15 Weligama, will definitely come back again1

I recently stayed at W15 Weligama and found it to be a stylish boutique hotel in a fantastic beachfront location. The design of the property is modern and aesthetically pleasing, and the setting right on Weligama Bay is perfect for beach lovers and surfers. The staff were generally courteous and helpful, and check-in was smooth. The food at the restaurant was good, though the menu felt slightly limited for longer stays. The beer choices were limited . That said, there were a few areas where the experience could have been improved. The rooms, while clean and comfortable, are not particularly well soundproofed, and it was sometimes difficult to relax and get some proper sleep due to noise from the surrounding area and the bar.

Not recommended for a quiet night. Went here to have a peaceful time with kids, but we only realised then that there’s a DJ playing till 10:30. They did let us know this upon arrival but the issue was that they did not stop the music at 10:30 it went on till 12. The room are not worth the price. The shower and the commode have no separation which was disgusting, all the toiletries are laid out crowded on the sink. The rooms multiple lights were controlled by one single switch so you either had to deal with extremely lit or total darkness. There’s a fan switch but no fan. And the worst thing about the room is that it’s not sound proof. We had to listen to every single vehicle passing on the galle road which was super loud. The food was good but we had to wait over and hour to receive the food.
