fantastic hotel! rooms are well appointed with all facilities in style. staff are friendly and extremely helpful. breakfast is a treat. Nowhere better than Indigo! You can use F&B from Intercontinental nextdoor. Thank you Indigo for making our stay so memorable!
Room is luxury and clean. Staffs are very friendly and efficient. Lucien is very professional in his service. Hotel is just beside the Lijiang Ancient City so it is very convenient. Easy access to food too.
Overall, the value for money at Hotel Indigo falls far short of what Banyan Tree offers. The reception service and customer handling at Indigo were noticeably lacking. Both the check-in and check-out processes were confusing, with poor communication regarding deposit policies and refund procedures. In contrast, Banyan Tree acknowledged that I had booked during peak season rates and graciously offered me a complimentary upgrade to a villa with a beautiful mountain view. It was a thoughtful gesture that reflected their commitment to guest satisfaction. On the other hand, when I asked the reception at Hotel Indigo if a reasonable upgrade was possible—given that I was staying during the low season when rooms are typically more available and affordable—my request was flatly rejected without any consideration. More concerning, one day after checking out of Hotel Indigo on May 10th, my credit card information was compromised. The unauthorized transaction was fortunately detected and blocked by my credit card company, but the card had to be cancelled and reissued to prevent further misuse. This incident has caused significant inconvenience. Since I prepaid a deposit through Trip.com and was told the refund process would take 10 to 15 days, I was advised to delay reissuing my credit card until the refund is complete. As a result, this has disrupted my ability to use e-wallet services and manage my expenses while traveling. To clarify, the only two locations where I used this credit card were Banyan Tree and Hotel Indigo. While I cannot confirm the source of the data breach, this situation is deeply concerning and warrants immediate attention.
