Waldhotel Doldenhorn

I stayed at Waldhotel Doldenhorn for just one night during a business trip, but I was truly impressed. The location is simply stunning — I absolutely love Kandersteg, and this hotel captures its charm perfectly. The property is elegant and welcoming, with a peaceful atmosphere and attentive service. Everything met my expectations of a high-standard hotel. If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be the breakfast: it didn’t quite match the otherwise excellent level of the hotel. With some attention there, this place would easily be outstanding. I look forward to coming back — next time, for a proper vacation!

Our first stay : the hotel is truly exceptional! A warm and very welcoming atmosphere and staff members, beautiful authentic design, cute afternoon tea party and best hotel breakfast we ever had. Absolutely enjoyed our stay! Their spa facility is also amazing, especially the late closing hours, we really appreciated that. Update after our second stay. - seems like not all the rooms have renovated bathrooms - the floor in the spa still very slippery ( I looked through reviews and seems I’m not the only one mentioning this) I will also leave here the review for the restaurant. Quite disappointed with our dinner. Very salty food (especially the truffle risotto). Average tasting dishes. Overall : nice experience, we might be back for another holiday but definitely would have to find another place to eat.

for the price you are paying, not clean enough. i’ve stayed in cheaper hotels with better quality. the service was excellent. shuttle bus runs smoothly, reception always attentive.
