Waldhotel Felschbachhof

This is a review more of the hotel’s restaurant than the hotel. (Although the rooms are large, with full amenities, and reasonably priced.) The restaurant is extremely nice. Cloth table coverings, cloth napkins, and candlelit tables. Their menu has a nice variety of dishes and they pride themselves on organic ingredients. My starter was the cream of mushroom soup. Oh, my! So smooth and silky on the palate and bursting with flavors. My main dish was the venison sausage that was served with a glaze loaded with flavor. The sausage (which the server indicated was made from deer from the nearby woods) was very firm and not at all gamy on the palate. It was served with sautéed onions and fried potatoes. I also had a side salad with a vinaigrette dressing. I can’t wait to see what is in store for breakfast tomorrow! Only 10 hours to wait! If you are in the area, drive here. Stay here. Eat here.

We just stayed here for one night but it was really good, clean rooms, clean bathroom with a soap dispencer in the shower and good beds. The hotel is situated in a beautiful surrounding. Dinner really was excellent, the fact that the the restaurant already was full of people when we arrived already gave a hint food must be good, and it was. Staff is friendly and helpful. If I am in the neighbourhood I would stay there again.

A great hotel on the mountains with organic breakfast.. you must definitely try the milk, it's delicious.. The service is also great with happy people
