Just returned from a lovely 2 night stay in a lodge at Warren Wood Country Park. The lodge was modern & well equipped, even having its own hot tub. 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. Tranquil location, with some lodges overlooking a lake, with ducks.Easy to get to Pevensey Castle or Pevensey beach. Eastbourne beach very easy to get to as well. We would definitely return again
Perfect long weekend, lodge was exceptional with the benefit of a hot tub overlooking the pond, the wildlife is lovely got photos of ducks geese, great spotted woodpecker & goldfinches all from the decking, the hot tub at night was great with perfect views of the stars, such a relaxing place to stay.
My partner and I have just returned from a lovely 5 day break. The setting and location of the lodge was perfect right next to the lake (number 21) as well as having the hot tub to unwind in the evenings. The staff we met upon arrival were very pleasant and the lodge was modern and spacious. We had a really enjoyable stay and would recommend to anyone. The only reason for not giving five stars was a few small niggles. When the lodges are further away like ours it would be ideal to be able to drive down at least to unload/load the car, as dragging multiple suitcases and shopping was a long way and rather difficult on gravel paths. The lodge was clean enough, but there were cobwebs in the bedrooms and hairs left on the walls in the shower. The decking outside was sinking and uneven, which meant the hot tub was tilted slightly. Two sets of towels would’ve been useful as they hadn’t always dried off after using the hot tub the night prior. Fans would’ve been a nice touch for customers staying in the summer months when the weather is hot. Details of where to take bin bags to when you leave would've also been ideal, as we felt bad leaving them in the kitchen. Finally, bedside tables would be a nice touch as the wooden recess above the bed was not easily reachable whilst in bed at night. Other than these few minor niggles, it was a really tranquil place to stay and we really enjoyed our stay!
