Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club

We stayed for about 2 weeks from the first day of re-opening. The staff were absolutely amazing, even with the chaos of nothing being where they were used to and all the construction. After being right over all the construction, we requested a room change and we're upgraded. I will say the construction crews tried to limit loud noise from starting before 8:30am and finished by 5pm. Even then is was not overly bothersome (we were still located by the excavation in the back of the hotel). After a few days, we didn't even notice it. Kat was exceptional in handling any requests we had. We are beyond grateful to her for understanding our situation (we stayed because our child was awaiting a heart transplant). Jackson was fantastic as well and very much appreciated his efforts in taking care of any problems we had. The Fairview had the warmest, kindest servers. We had a great experience at all the restaurants. A special thank you to Jamie in sales as well. She was able to work with us and accomodate a longer term stay with a sick kid. We plan to return with our whole family, once our daughter is well. I highly recommend the Washington Duke Inn.

Older hotel but well appointed and taken care of. Everyone we encountered was genuine and kind. Even the valet took the time to learn my wife’s name… Nice touch! The service was impeccable from start to finish. My only complaint was that the television in the room was old and lacked some basic functionality. The mini fridge was also quite ancient and never really got cold. Before I forget… The hot water in the rooms is on fire and practically instant. Loved it!!

This place should be 5 stars. Yes, it’s a little dated in terms of decor BUT the staff, cleanliness, food & overall experience far eclipse that. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Would highly recommend if you want a lowkey, quality, comfortable experience with a great team of people taking care of you while you are a guest.
