This is my second stay at this location. I will say the location is perfect for IAD airport costumers. The rooms are very nice and comfy. The bed is by far the best I have ever had in a hotel. I want to point out specifically Nicole & Diana with the front desk. They are amazing! They have gone above and beyond both times here to make sure my partner and I have felt welcomed and appreciated as a Marriot Bonvoy member. I’ve seen their interactions with others as well and it is consistent no matter what status membership the customer has. I really appreciate the customer service and friendly smiles! The concierge lounge is stellar with great snacks and dinner foods within certain hours! They have a full gym and indoor and outdoor pool! Basketball courts and so much more all within the hotel!
Pools are good, restaurant is yummy and not too pricey. The server lady LA is friendly and smart like act before you ask. Room is just ok and a bit noisy. Shuttle bus is small, a few had to stand.
A real mixed bag. Some (most) of the staff were fantastic. Others were completely clueless and struggled to understand the simplest request. We had a long stay (8 nights). For the first 3 days the staff at breakfast were brilliant. Kind, attentive, intuitive, etc. Couple of evenings in the bar we would sit for 15-20 minutes before seeing any servers. On 2 occasions we just went and collected our drinks that had been poured and left on a tray. The lounge hd decent offerings for a snack at dinner but was otherwise pretty dismal. THe worst thing was the A/C in the room. It didn't matter what you set it to the room was a constant 81 degrees F. Very uncomfortable. Despite many requests and even being there when a maintenance guy turned up. It was never fixed.
