I stayed at this hotel while attending a conference. While there were definitely some positives—particularly the welcoming staff and the well-kept lobby—unfortunately, the room itself was in need of some maintenance. The bathroom door didn’t close properly, the ceiling showed signs of peeling and possible water damage, and the faucet continued to leak even when fully turned off. With a few updates to the rooms, this hotel could offer a much more comfortable stay.

Washington DC Hilton is a very disappointing property and failed to meet expectations of quality established by our stays at other Hilton locations. The lobby, restaurants, and convention areas are clean and modern. The Staff were very professional, friendly, and helpful, but the accommodations are shabby. The hallways leading to the rooms have very dark wall paper and dark, stained carpet throughout. In room 5202, the wall paper is peeling. There is no exhaust fan. Broken hook in the bathroom. The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors sneezing and their conversations. The ice machine on our floor didn't work. There was trash piled up across from our room that stayed there for days. Our key cards to our room and the digital key from the app stopped working three times, which was very inconvenient especially when the elevators are backed up because the hotel is hosting a convention and hundreds of people are trying to use the elevators. Rooms do not include refrigerators or microwaves, by the time we learned we could request them, there were none available. A refrigerator should be standard, especially for the price of these rooms. The stores/restaurants at this location are very overpriced. I understand it's DC, so there is going to be some markup, but the prices in this hotel's restaurants are double and triple the prices of other area restaurants. Everything in the "District Line cafe & market" in the lobby is priced high, but the items that aren't marked with prices are ridiculous! So unless you don't mind paying $58 for a mini bottle of wine, avoid items not marked with a price. Several cars parked on the street had their windows smashed and broken into, so don't park on the street. Parking in the hotel garage is $56 a day. On the bright side, hotel staff were very polite and helpful. Staff at breakfast were very accommodating. For the price paid, I expected better. I've had better accommodations at Holiday Inn Express for a lot less cost.

Terrible hotel. You can get the impression that it used to be impressive, but appearances aren’t everything at a place like this. Stayed here for a week on business, and hated this hotel. The food is terrible and extremely overpriced. Over 20 dollars for a burger, 20 dollars for a cocktail. Most of the staff are friendly, but some were very rude, particularly the lady working the desk for the breakfast. I asked for a fridge multiple times, but they never sent it up. The drinks are all super expensive, 8 dollars for a coffee or energy drink, 15 dollars for a beer, absolutely ridiculous prices. The rooms have such thin walls that if your neighbor is playing the TV good luck getting any sleep!! Outdated, tired hotel that needs an immediate renovation. It feels more like a Motel 6 than anything else.
