This is a wonderful area and the hotel grounds are beautiful. The food and beer at the restaurant is delicious and the nearby Volkshaus is divine. There is a beautiful walking trail that leads to the forest directly from the property. The rooms are clean if a bit run down - as to be expected for an older property. Don’t let this deter you!!! The bathroom for example is modern. We came as two couples and two dogs and stayed in two adjoining rooms and I can’t wait to come back. We played dress up for one evening with dinner on the property and it was so so lovely.
What an amazing afternoon and evening, this Hotel und Gasthof was full of surprises... first a tour of the brewery and their amazing range if craft beers and then a knights dinner with amazing musicians that is a must for this type of dinner...
