Great location from which to see the Lakes. Hotel outdoor space great for chilled al fresco dining with friends/family. Good food and service. Bedroom was large (family room) and immaculate. Staff clearly busy but ‘on it’ and friendly.

For nearly £240 a night this is not worth the money. Breakfast is pretty standard and your mostly waiting for top ups on the items. The room is next to the main road through town so you can hear traffic most of the time. Staff were friendly enough But you get offered a drink instead of room service which at that price you should get both no questions. Showers are good and room is big and spacious and its dog friendly. If it wasn't so expensive it would be fine. But not enough for your money on this tbh

If you’re looking for slow service, lack of communication, and a menu that takes an hour to arrive without so much as a “sorry,” then congratulations — the Wateredge Inn is your perfect match. On our last visit, we waited so long for our food I began to wonder if they were still out hunting the ingredients. No apology, no explanation, just silence. Food when it arrived was cold and bland. And it’s not as if this was a one-off. On a previous visit, the grand selection of soft drinks amounted to… a single can of cherry coke. Yes, really. It’s like they’re running a social experiment to see how far they can push customers before they walk out. Spoiler: we won’t be back.
