Waterfoot Park

We've stayed here multiple times now and would definitely return and have recommended it to others. Great location. The apartments are spotless and well equipped and decorated. Perfect for exploring Pooley Bridge and Ullswater (walking distance) and the wider lakes. Everything you need on site in a gorgeous peaceful setting at a reasonable price with friendly, helpful staff.

Stayed for 2 nights in our motorhome. Positives: -15min walk to Pooley Bridge. -water and grey waste on the pitch. -Pitches pretty level. Negatives: - On arrival we were told you can only have fixed awnings, as ours was a stand alone awning, we were told we could not use it for fire reasons. As we arrived at the touring pitches, we saw several stand alone awnings, some with people sleeping in them. We followed the rules and didn't use ours, but the others were not monitored. - Lack of privacy. As we were a corner pitch we had 7 other pitches facing on to us, felt very intrusive. - One pitch in particular, was being extremely noisy way past midnight. Adults drinking vodka and being really loud, whilst children were running around screaming. This was reported 3 times on the night, but noone came. The following morning reception said they had spoken to them and it wouldn't happen again. It did! - The onsite 'Mansion' bar was shut. Would not stay again.

All good but you have to buy WiFi??? Not good if you have kids. & yes you have to buy it as the signal is pants. We drove from the Scottish Highlands that morning & Every campsite we had been in had Free WiFi.
