Waterfront Seaview Apt Hotel

Worst experience of my life. I strongly urge everyone — whether you’re booking for yourself, your family, or friends — DO NOT stay at this hotel. Here’s why: 1. The room we were given was completely different from what was shown during booking — a total bait and switch. 2. None of the lights in the bedroom worked; we were left in complete darkness. 3. Only a few lights in the living room worked — the rest were non-functional. 4. The bathroom sink wouldn’t even drain half a glass of water. It was nearly impossible to wash hands or brush teeth. 5. And the most shocking part: we got locked inside the apartment! The door handle was so loose we couldn’t open it from the inside — an absolute safety hazard. This place is not just poorly maintained — it’s unsafe. Avoid it at all costs.

Booked this place through booking.com 6 weeks ago for 7 people in 2 separate rooms. 1 week out from our stay they message me saying I need to cancel my booking because they’ve decided they can’t accept group bookings and decided that we will be noisy. I advised we would not be noisy and confirmed that we could keep the booking. I got an email to confirm this. Then not even 8 hours later I get another message to say, they can’t keep my booking and will be cancelling it. No conversation or explanation why except to say they can’t take groups and it’s because of noise management. Never saw the place but based on this alone, I would never recommend staying here. This experience has caused unnecessary stress and financial strain to find another place in the Auckland CBD in early Jan. If you have more than 3 people, I’d book elsewhere.

This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever seen in my life!! Black Mould everywhere, stains all over the carpet that haven't even attempted to be cleaned; a bed that looks like someone just crawled out of it. Gray pubes stuck all over the glass table; a sticky kitchen floor, dirty kitchen benches, broken cupboards and wardrobes; the furniture looked like a homeless person had been sleeping on it; and outside was a green mouldy mess! We didn't end up staying, it was that bad. The owner advised it is actually an air b&b not a "hotel"as the name suggests. This place is a health hazard...whatever you do, DO NOT book here!!
