Rooms are clean and nice! The view is very nice from the room. The airconditioning works great. The pool is very nice and clean. And the view from the pool is beautiful. Vending machines work perfectly. The laundry room has plenty of machines. There is a smoking area. There are also two elevators. Staff was very helpful in booking taxi's and tours. We rented electric bikes at the hotel. We went around the entire island and the battery was still full. They also offer non electric bikes and eMobi. Since we don't speak Japanese and do everything around the island with google translate, they were very patient in helping us out. Staff helped in English. We didn't have breakfast here, but we enjoyed the lunch menu. It felt like a luxury resort. The quality of service and overall experience is amazing! Thank you for the great stay!
A good place to stay in Shimojishima but it is a little bit pricey, largely due to the location, the beautiful sunset scenery you can enjoy at the balcony of the rooms, and a rooftop pool where you can enjoy swimming and the night sky during the night. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Only 4 stars since it's a little too expensive. If it is cheaper (around 4000-5000yen per person), then this place would be 5 stars. The staff were nice and kind most importantly.
Some of the worst service I’ve experienced in Japan and they overcharge ¥60,000 per night. I arrived at 2pm and asked about the possibility of checking in early. Was told that check was from 3pm - fair enough! I left my luggage and planned to come back at 3pm but got a phone call from the hotel to say there was a water suspension so I delayed coming back. After checking in, there is nobody to help with your luggage so I brought the luggage up to the room in one hand, baby in the other while the staff looked at us struggling. When I got to the room, they key wouldn’t work, so had to go all the way back to the reception. Let wouldn’t work again so had to change room and drag luggage again to new room. Dirt was everywhere on the floor with ants and several strands of hair. In new room, found a massive huntsman spider soon after returning from dinner on first night. While at dinner, ordered some room service so we could get back early for baby. All of the requests were not met with room service. The next day, when cleaning they did not take the room service dirty plates. They did not do on 3rd day either so I brought them down myself. This is not a cheap hotel as we paid ¥60,000 per night. For that money, you should expect clean rooms and good service. Sadly, we did not get either of those.
