Good hotel, location was a bit far from the action, good pool and children’s play areas, clean and spacious room, decent breakfast options. The only let down was the safe and bathroom fan did not work, they sent someone to fix it who couldn’t fix it so I didn’t bother with this any further. Lastly the security on the gates was asking us when we are leaving and he asked me to “leave him something”. I literally had enough money left for the taxi, when we left the hotel with our cases, he followed me to the taxi asking if I was “going to leave him something” this make it very awkward.
During our recent stay at the Wazo Apartment Hotel in Marrakech, we encountered several issues that unfortunately did not meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel. Upon arrival, we were first offered a room that had not been cleaned, which was quite surprising and disappointing. The second room we were moved to also had serious cleanliness concerns, with visible stains and signs of poor maintenance. We eventually had to change rooms twice before finding one that met even the most basic standards of hygiene. On a positive note, the reception staff were polite, helpful, and responsive throughout, and did not hesitate to assist with the room changes. However, the lack of consistency in housekeeping and the overall upkeep of the rooms was a major letdown. Cracked and peeling paint near door frames, worn-out corners, and poorly maintained bathrooms (as shown in the attached photos) reflected a lack of attention to detail and quality control. Another significant disappointment was the breakfast offering. For a hotel of this rating, we expected a much better selection and quality. The breakfast buffet was extremely limited, lacking standard English breakfast options. There were no sausages, no baked beans, and the eggs were often undercooked. The overall variety was minimal and not up to par. Eventually, we stopped attending breakfast altogether as it simply wasn't worth it. While the furnishings were modern and the layout of the apartment was practical, the overall experience was overshadowed by poor maintenance and an underwhelming dining experience. Wazo Apartment Hotel has potential, particularly thanks to its helpful front desk staff and convenient location, but significant improvements are needed in cleanliness, maintenance, and food service to truly justify its 4-star rating.
During my stay at Hotel Waso in Marrakesh, I encountered several disappointing service issues. The porters were overly aggressive, with one even entering a client’s room to request a tip, which was highly inappropriate. The restaurant staff lacked professionalism—basic amenities such as orange juice were unavailable, and I was told to retrieve it from the bar myself. At breakfast, the restaurant floor was in disarray, with food scattered everywhere, and staff unable to maintain cleanliness. Additionally, there was no hot water, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations due to poor service and lack of proper management.
