Well View Hotel Inn

This is our second stay at this fantastic property. We are a group of 10 adults and 11 kids, and it ticks all the boxes for our group. Ben goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend this property for large groups.

Huge rambling independent hostel within a three minute walk of Moffat centre so an easy walk to shops and places to eat and drink. Plenty of off street parking and close to the walk up Gallow Hill. The hostel sleeps around 70, we had the place to ourselves with far fewer than that (off season) but there were more than enough showers and toilets. The kitchen is well equipped but was a bit tight space-wise just for us so you might struggle with a bigger party. The other communal spaces are big enough. It's clean, warmer than I like but the windows in the rooms all open, and the building itself is rather grand if a little faded but that just adds charm.

The place is great for a medium sized group. Plenty of beds. The lounges are nice however the sports hall isn't structurely sound enough to have a ceilidh in but redeeming that is the bigger lounge can host a nice acoustic session and some classic playground circle type chanting games.
