Wellness & Naturhotel Tonihof

Very good SPA, lovely food and very friendly staff.

Our experience at the Tonihof was mixed. The food was excellent and the rooms and facilities were super clean. Our room was spacious and so was our bathroom. What we didn‘t expect and didn‘t find very nice was the construction site right outside our room. Not only was it loud but it detracted greatly from any view we would have had. As you can see from my pictures it was also directly in front of the family pool. We did complain and were compensated the legally required 10%. However, had we known this in advance or even at check in (which was not mentioned at all) we would have stayed at our second choice hotel not far from here. The beautiful pool in the pictures on the internet site is one of the reasons we booked here. It looks fabulous and is really nice. Unfortunately that is the family pool with young children. I like kids but not in an environment were I am paying top dollar to relax. The adult only pool is an arc of 3 metres wide by about 25 metres long. The room we had (obviously one of the older rooms and not in the new building) was spacious and clean. The lack of outlets for electronics was noticeable. Also, there is no coffee machine or kettle for tea in the room. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. I am writing this instead of sleeping because my back hurt so much. I am sure when the construction is over and you book the more expensive room in the new building you will have a nice time. If you don‘t want a family hotel with kids crying at dinner then book somewhere else.
