Wellness & Spa Hotel Ambiente

Went there twice. For the price - excellent hotel with friendly personnel. Rooms are OK. Some equipment AC didn’t work, but luckily weather was forgiving on this matter. SPA is good, pool is good but something always doesn’t work. Not a big deal. Medical procedures are good and personnel is very accommodating. Food is good even though variety is not wide. I would give this hotel 5 stars but couple days before my departure group of 3 people arrived and was treated like real VIP in front of all other guests being served with off- menu la carte meals in front of everyone eating from buffet. Guess what? I have run into incident witth the woman of that group over taking glass for my drink from the shelf of the kitchen. She took it away from me in the rude manner implicating me in almost committing a crime. She said that she is an owner of this hotel and I must obey her orders at once. What a behavior of an owner toward her guests! Moreover, when I left - she sent a bullish guy after me to come back and apologize. The guy introduced himself as head of security service of hotel, behaving quite intimidating. Really? This is typical russian 90’s in peaceful Czech hotel. This is absolutely not a way to treat guests. Unacceptable. I have heavily travel throughout the world and must say that real owners behavior is pretty humble toward their patrons.

The hotel is not worth 4 stars for sure, but it's okay. Spa is nice but you'll be bored after an hour. It's also cold when you're not in the water. Most ridiculous rule is you need a 500kc deposit for spa towels which can be paid only in cash. It's 2024 no one carries cash + just charge it to the room or take some object (ID, hotel card) as deposit just like one would do with literally anything else. Besides - these hotel towels were very obviously used by a lot of people, who would steal towels? The spa has two saunas which were fine, a salt room which was just a cold room (thermometer inside showed 20°C) with uncomfortable chairs (no salt air at all), a pool that is small and undeep so does not allow for swimming yet the water is too cold to really float and relax, a jacuzzi which is nice, and one (1) heated marble bed that was heating mostly towels from guests who left it there as a placeholder so no one could use it while they went somewhere else. The elevator is horrifyingly slow and there is only one, causing awkward moments when you're in your (tiny!!) bathrobe and a fully clothed person with suitcase comes in. 😅 Breakfast is fine. The coffee machine (there's just one) takes a long time so there's always a line. Toaster is in an uncomfortable spot so you're blocking everyone who is reaching for food as you are waiting for your toast. Staff is nice and friendly. Sometimes you need to switch to Russian but as we speak both Czech and Russian we just switched if needed. The hotel is located on a hill from the colonade so you'll be out of breath once you reach the reception. The room we had was spacious and really nice. The loud bathroom fan turns on by itself when you use the bathroom light and keeps running long after you turn off the light, approx. 15 minutes. We solved it by removing the hotel card from its holder which shuts off the electricity. 💁‍♀️ We had a TV but couldn't get our phones to cast so we ended up getting a free trial of Amazon Prime which then turned out not to work as the hotel wifi is apparently using a proxy. Oh well. We got two separate beds pushed together instead of one big bed. Mattresses are not very comfortable but it'll do. Checkout is very generous at noon so plenty of time to visit the spa after breakfast. In the afternoon we were rudely disturbed by what we thought were guests playing loud music from the room, we were about to call the reception when we realized it was playing from the speakers in the hall! Thankfully the volume went down after some time. The hotel seems to have purchased the license of only three to four songs that play on repeat. Same songs at breakfast, same songs in the hall, same songs everywhere. All in all it's an okay place. We ended up visiting an actual swimming pool in KV to actually move a bit. The location is great if not for the hill.

The rooms when we checked in wasn’t cleaned at all full of dust!!! No enough staff to serve us. Each room has only one roll of Bath tissues no more!! And they refuse to provide more in anyrooms ! They just informed us that they don’t do room cleaning everyday of the staying and it will be charged every time !!! They don’t smile they have an attitude because of we are Arab we are paying money for the hotel and everything is in charge why we should pay more if the hotel can’t endures this type of people they should not even work !!!!!
