The hotel is across the road from the Salamander Railway so a great location when you want to take the train to the top of the Schneeberg and hike from there. The room was large, very comfortable and had a walk in shower with rain shower head and lots of hot water. We also had a large balcony with table and chairs. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the afternoon cakes. They also have a good selection of wines at reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and helpful and will give you information about the area. There is also a large parking.

Great location but out of date hotel and not great value for the price. This was a last-minute trip so our selection for accommodations was limited. When we checked in we had to change rooms do to a bad smell in our first room. Our 2nd room was better and the balcony view was very nice but the glass-walled bathroom had a lip that required care when using the space. Breakfast was average. The best parts are the location and the service which was helpful and friendly.

Not bad but definitely not worth the price. + Comfortable bed, nice garden, good breakfast. - The price per night is quite high, the quality you get is average. We booked a deluxe double room and got worse room than our friend who booked standard single room. Does not make any sense. Bar closes at 21:00, restaurant also, so after the whole day of hiking you you find yourself in the village of ghoasts with option to eat, buy food or at least have a beer.
