Wellton Riga Hotel & SPA

Hands down, this is my place to stay every time I am in Riga. Nice clean rooms and amenities, comfortable beds, convenient location, SPA as a nice addition and very good breakfasts! And service is the BEST here, hotel stuff goes over and beyond to please their guests. Huge thanks to Inga who did everything this time to help me in unusual circumstances!

This one is all about location. Situated at the south side of Riga old town with short distance to the central market hall, old town etc. Depending on which side your room is it's either nice and quiet or traffic noisy. We had the latter. Rooms are ok, nothing really mind blowing, except the bed was actually very good. Water pressure in shower was very low. Room was clean, although the cleaning was apparently done in a hurry. (We found some left behinds (plastic bags etc) from the previous customer.) Service at the reception good, service at the bar excellent. Breakfast was mediocre-good, with some local specialties. Overall I would say this is a ok/good hotel if you don't expect too much. Location fantastic. 3,5 stars out of five.

Disappointing Stay – Poor Soundproofing and Comfort I stayed at Wellton Hotel & Spa with my family and was very disappointed with our experience. We booked a luxury suite, expecting a comfortable and relaxing stay, but unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. Our room was located on the third floor, facing the tram tracks. The soundproofing was extremely poor—we could hear loud noises from the street even with the windows closed. The music from the underground passage nearby was clearly audible, making it impossible to rest properly. Additionally, the ventilation in the room was inadequate. Even with the air conditioning and fan running, the room felt stuffy and uncomfortable. The synthetic blankets provided were unpleasant to sleep under, causing discomfort and sweating throughout the night. For a hotel of this category, I expected much better comfort and attention to detail. Unfortunately, due to these issues, our stay was far from relaxing. I would not recommend this hotel to families or light sleepers.
