The hotel is perfectly located just minutes from Main Street in Tarrytown and 5-10 minute drive from every desirable attraction. The town is a breath of fresh air. The hotel is tidy, with a gym, guest laundry room, and a pool. The room itself was clean and comfortable with strong AC, perfect for a warm July. Francesca and Whitney are an absolute asset to this establishment. Francesca greeted us when my new husband and I checked into the hotel the day after our wedding. Immediately warm friendly and congratulatory, it was clear that the staff wanted to do everything they could to make sure we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Francesca gave us wonderful recommendations for our first trip to the area and we appreciated it so much. She brought that same warmth to the people checking in after us as we headed towards our room. Whitney was working at the front desk the remainder of our stay and she seems to know every guest by name. Whitney took the time to interact with each person that walked past the front desk making sure they had everything they needed and asking about their day. Her energy is infectious and it ensured we began and ended each day on such a positive note.
This hotel was definitely worn in. I think we stayed in the older part of the hotel which was definitely showing it's age. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Beds were firm and pillows left something to be desired. Absolutely fine for one night. Quiet neighborhood. EV charging available, with plenty of spaces.
Upon initial inspection the room was adequate. It doesn't stand out. The hotel is very nice. The, what was a very dimly lit, east facing room, now illuminated by the sunlight very well, showed characteristics one would expect at a far less expensive establishment. The room was $249/ night. It seemed sufficient last night, but the morning brought another story. Stains on the sheets, white specs of something scattered throughout the room. A small piece of what I'm hoping is white cheese in the bottom of the coffee maker. Is this room discussing? No, but for $249/ night, it should have been spotless. The decor makes the hallways look as if they are hallways of a far less expensive establishment. Marks on the furnishings. Some brown substance on a chair seat. I'm less than impressed.
