Was all perfect, lovely welcome and helpfulness, especially by Bas. The room was large and spacious with all you need for a perfect stay. Location was great just Infront of the harbour with a beautiful view at breakfast.
Nice hotel with spacious rooms, an option to book a big private sauna, a bowling bar, e-bike rental and tasty breakfast. Clean rooms, hot water, good view. Overall - great quiet location with lots of things to explore on the island. The guests are mostly old couples. There were few service issues. 1️⃣) We left laundry bag outside and informed the front desk but after a whole day it was not picked up. One staff from the front office had no idea how their own laundry works and when it can be ready. We ended up washing it all ourselves because it was too late to wait another day until it (maybe) will be done. 2️⃣) No one from staff told us that our booked sauna required a separate access card so we wasted 10 paid minutes to figure it out and find someone to help. 3️⃣) when we shared any of these problems - no one from staff ever said basic “sorry for inconvenience”. As if the mistake from their side is never recognized? These issues are small, but when it is 4 star hotel (must have high standards!) and when you pay around 200 euros per night - it all actually matters! Nevertheless we might come back one day and we are grateful for the stay.
We had a fantastic time staying at the WestCord Schylge hotel in Terschelling. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay and helped us with planning places to visit, activities to do and restaurants to eat at. The hotel had a wonderful restaurant with a great view of the sea and is very close walking and biking distance to town. We rented bikes from the hotel when we arrived and had use of the same bikes for the whole visit - and we took them all over the island! The only thing I would critique is the that the bathroom showers are aging a little, and we wished the sauna was free to use. Thank you for having us as your guests!
