I am a tour guide and I had a group in this month. This hotel was a real treat for my guests, the rooms were fantastic, very spacious, very clean etc. Dinner for my group was beautiful, it was a set menu with a choice between 2x starters, 2x main courses etc and was served beautifully. I honestly can't fault them at all, it was lovely.
Could not recommend a more professional, special venue to host our big day! Myself and Dave got married on June 11th and the Westgrove Hotel went above and beyond to make us feel special, cared for and appreciated. A special shout-out goes to Lydia and Lorna our wedding planners, in particular Lydia who took the reins. The back-end extra things she did like chatting to the photographer, making sure our guest requests got answered quickly. They even added in a few extras we weren’t expecting! The cake table was beautifully decorated, the ceremony was like something out of movie and they added in the sparkle dance floor and a beautiful candy cart for guests. The food was amazing and our bridal suite was so pretty - we felt like a king and queen. Another special shout-out goes to Amanda who works at the reservation department and made sure all of our guests were checked in on time and checked in with me each step of the way too. Thank you so much to you all, myself and Dave had a really wonderful time and couldn’t have asked for a better venue to celebrate our big day!
Have had a very good experience each time I've stayed/performed here, however, have had 2 sticky interactions with the same lady both times where she was just rude, talked over me at every chance, rolled her eyes and was passively aggressive repeating herself like she's reciting from the 'hospitality book', which pisses me off tbh. Presents with zero compassion and appears to really hate her job. I have examples but as trivial and minor as they are, they should have been easily taken care of which they weren't - a slight British lady.. All other staff - exceptional! bar none.
