Westhouse is a wonderful hidden gem. Once you step through the doors, be prepared to experience excellent hospitality that is unequaled. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. One especially nice amenity is the Terrace which is accessible all day. The morning breakfast buffet is delicious and comprehensive and the evening “happy hour” is also a nice treat. Aside from these services, the Terrace is accessible during the day and a nice getaway to relax and enjoy a cappuccino or other complimentary beverage. All of the staff were terrific. It’s been a long time since I stayed at a hotel where staff were so outgoing and terrific. Be sure to thank them and show they are appreciated.

Perfect location right in the heart of Manhattan coupled with beautiful amenities. My only qualm would be that for $5800 one would expect perfection, and that was not the case. From an unplugged mini fridge to having to wait almost 30 minutes for towels and finally the safe not being ready upon arrival certain aspects of the stay did not meet expectations. In short, I enjoyed my stay, but I would stay elsewhere in the future as this stay left me feeling as if I overpaid in comparison for what I received.

EDITING…. I DON’T WANT AN APOLOGY, I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!! One Star – Unjust Smoke Fee, Hidden Charges, and Poor Management I stayed at WestHouse Hotel NYC with my two daughters, one of them only 6 years old on a family trip, and I’m extremely disappointed. After our stay, the hotel charged us a completely unjustified $572 smoke fee. None of us smoke, and we would never allow that around our children. It felt like a random charge with no real evidence or explanation. On top of that, they added a vague “resident fee” that was never clearly disclosed when we booked. For the high price we paid, the quality of the hotel simply didn’t match. What made it even worse was the lack of accountability. I tried several times to speak with the manager, but he was never available no returned calls, no follow-up, nothing. That kind of service is unacceptable. I strongly advise families and non-smokers to stay elsewhere. There are better, more transparent, and more respectful hotels in New York City.
