Westlodge Hotel & Leisure Centre

Plenty to do in the grounds with walks down to the waterfront, football, tennis, swim, sauna, gym, and a big restaurant with terrace. Our room was comfortable, clean, and so slept well. Great location, and the staff were polite and accommodating. I would highly recommend going.

Fantastic atmosphere throughout the hotel. Stayed here for an anniversary with the “Besties Getaway package” and couldn’t have been happier. The food was delicious both morning and evening. The room was beautiful and so was the live music that night in the hotel lobby. The leasure centre was easily accessible and always had lifeguards on hand. Special shoutout to the staff working the night of the 19th of July, they were spectacular. Genuinely made our anniversary so special.

My stay at Westlodge Hotel in Bantry was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the experience was far from what I’d expect from any hotel. First, the cleanliness was unacceptable. There were hairs and shavings in the toilet, and the floor was dirty. I reported it to the staff, and while they offered to move us to another room, I had already unpacked and chose to stay. Then we were offered our breakfast for free which was a refund if €28 for a family of 5. The pool situation was confusing. We were initially told that kids needed to be out by 8 PM, but upon getting to the pool, we were told it was 7 PM. When we returned our towels, we saw other children still swimming—this seemed to be at the manager's discretion, which left my kids extremely upset. At dinner, the service was poor. We had to ask multiple times for water, and when we requested the dessert menu, we were told the chefs had gone home by 9:30 PM and there was only ice cream. Breakfast was chaotic and poorly organized, adding to an already negative experience. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this hotel to anyone. The cleanliness, service, and overall management were far below expectations
