Westotel Pornic

Beautiful hotel only a 15 minute walk from the charming harbour of Pornic with many restaurants. On one side of the hotel is a sort of garden small lakes (not part of the hotel) The room was large and very comfortable with a clean bathroom The breakfast buffet was very good.

I liked the location of this hotel, an easy walk into Pornic. The hotel was clean and tidy. The service was a bit slow but friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice, but small and a shower/changing facility would be helpful. The breakfast had a lot of choice and tasted good cost-€19.50 The restaurant menu was a bit limited, so we didn't eat there. The hotel was average for value for money- the bedrooms were nice and spacious and clean but lacked the finishing touch...eg. complimentary water, more toiletries, for the price you pay. Especially as it is a 4 star establishment. During hot weather the air con was set on 22 degrees however it was still too hot and I couldn't sleep....the next night I asked at reception if they could turn it down, but they said it was set on that temperature- they provided me with a fan which was kind, as I know I wouldn't have been able to sleep. This needs to be addressed Especially in the summer. Good parking facilities. Lovely entrance hall. Nice to have a balcony overlooking the gardens. The drinks in the bar were nice, maybe offer nuts or olives with the drinks?

Nice room and reception, but disappointing for a 4-star hotel. There’s no minibar, no welcome bottle in the room, and no room service. Also, no glasses are provided at the water fountain, so don’t forget to bring your own bottle or you’ll end up very thirsty… Lastly, the air conditioning cannot be set below 22°C, which makes it uncomfortable during hot weather. In short: not a hotel suited for summer stays.
