Whala Bavaro

NOT a 4⭐️. Food SUCKS. Everything is overcooked. The small buffet is always the same, lunch or diner. Meet is dry and over cooked. Everything is luke warm at best. Everything is over salted, even white rice. Only one toaster that only half works. Everything is over cooked, worst food in a resort i ever had. Hotel not on the beach as web site states. The beach portion that is for this hotel in the worst, walk 500 yards and the beaches are great. While talking to other guest they all say the same thing. Some rooms are dirty, TVs dont work to everyone i talked to. WiFi is shady, but that’s normal. Room had black mold. Head board of bed seems to have black mold on it. Water has a huge smell of sulfer. Looks like 2 or 3 hotels that merged. They do clean with bleach, it smells like it. No bugs. Most staff barely speak English, let alone French, but that doesn’t bother me. Very loud, everything is loud.

Awful ! Caters mainly for the Spanish , very tired and basic needs improving , food was edible wouldn’t starve but nothing special , not enough beds around the pool or beach , staff didn’t go out of their way to help, we had to ask to have our room serviced and we felt we were putting them out of their way. Struggled to get a table at the very loud buffet every night Loud Spanish music from morning till late at night Not at all relaxing around the pool so went to the beach everyday which was packed sun lounges very close to each other and pestered all day by vendors which were rude if you never purchased anything, not enough beds many broken and need replacing, the loudness continued on the beach with speed boats coming and going and loud party boats picking up trips all day If it rained there was nothing to do but sit in your room, the room was clean , beds comfy but hard bathroom needs updating , broken shower head and hit and miss if you got hot water , tv didn’t work This is not a relaxing Caribbean place, nor is it a pretty area outside the hotel It’s worth spending more money for a better hotel with more amenities to get a better experience

I'm travling with my family to Whala Bavaro hotel in Punta Cana and we are not having a great time. The Hotel main street is full of dark water (water with pop in it) and smells really bad. The Hotel is near to Haiti and here are a lot of people working from Haiti in misserable situations such as 11 hours working and they don't look happy. Sometimes they don't give you a good service we think it's because of that. The room service is terrible. We had to ask for it once because they forget to clean the room the day before and they didn't clean the cockroach we killed recently, which I think a placed like this shouldn't have cockroaches at all but here we are. One of my brothers is staying in a room where the air conditioner failed several times particularly because it looks old (it used to be white, now it looks brown. It's inside how old it is) and my mom got a respiratory problem we think it was because of the old air conditioner. If you've come here I would highly recommend to you to look for another alternative.
