Whale Cove Inn

Great place. Wish this was my home. Saw whales with binoculars provided by hotel (required patience!) bathtub on balcony was super nice. Comfy robes. Amazing shower

Absolutely amazing place. The location is just far enough to be private but also close enough to many amenities. Breathtaking views off your private balcony. We unfortunately didn’t see any whales but I guess that’s a good excuse to go back!

This place is located on beautiful grounds, right up to the ocean and offers stunning photo opportunities. It about stops there for us. Didn’t eat the restaurant, so can’t speak on that. Parking lot is tiny, if you drive a bigger rig like us, you may have challenges parking. Check in was fine, given a run down of the dos and donts. Room is extremely dated, furniture is from the 90s and shows the wear. Space is generous with a separate bedroom area and a large bathroom/shower. Carpet was dirty and stained next to the bed and the bed was not comfortable- we prefer a more firm mattress and this mattress was soft as well as the pillows- but that’s all preference. They offer a “Private outdoor tub” in each of the signature suites. This bathtub is in no way shape or form private, as I was in the bathtub before 9 PM and a group of people exiting the restaurant went out for pictures and two of the males were staring directly at me in the tub. It would be nice if they offered frosted glass on the outdoor balconies for added privacy from people down below. Two of the males kept staring at me and one of them even waved at my husband when he was approached about gawking at me in the tub. Am I supposed to get in the bathtub with clothes on?? While we again, can appreciate the location- that’s about it for us. $575 for one night is a tad much for what you get. Property also needs to desperately be updated!!!! Please put some of the outrageous amounts you charge people to stay here, back into your grounds. We won’t return.
