Just returned from our first visit to Maine for my husband's birthday. Couldn't have picked a more luxurious place to stay. The staff is uniformly friendly and expertly trained to treat guests like royalty. The dining room/bar area is by far one of the loveliest we've ever experienced. First... all the "goods"... there are 5 different Mercedes you are free to use for 4 hour stretches each day. That was kind of fun, although we only took advantage of them once as we were more comfortable using our own car and GPS for safety reasons. Room is loaded with special touches... blueberry soda, Maine gummy candy lobsters, chocolate covered blueberries, cookies, ice and fresh water each day. A wonderful touch... Every evening, a treat of some kind was left in the room, and each morning fresh coffee and a baked good are delivered to your doorstep. Rooms are made up to perfection twice a day, which was wonderful. There are Barbour coats and umbrellas available in all sizes for use by guests. The spa was intimate and very comfortable. Cookies, salt water taffy, and mixed nuts always available, night and day. Valets are so nice and friendly! They were uniformly polite and gracious, as was front desk concierge, Grace. Really enhanced our experience. Dining- dinner, and especially breakfast, were incredible. Prices are reasonable given the setting and the caliber of service. Breakfast was included in the way we booked our stay, and was well worth it. Bartender (her name escapes me) can mix a mean drink! The "so, so" (there is NO bad) ... only minor observation we can make, and I knew this when I booked the room, so full disclosure, not the property's fault, is that our "original farmhouse room" is two flights of stair up, and pretty small. Next time I would opt for a larger room. And while the charm of the inn itself is that the building is old, carpeting in hallways and some of the furniture on the landings could use some freshening. The dining area, however, makes up for it all. It is just gorgeous. Overall, I'm thrilled to have spent a decadent few days at the White Barn... thank you so much to the wonderful staff for making our first trip to Maine one we'll never forget!
The fact that it says “Auberge” in front of it is all I need to know. We love this charming boutique hotel in K’Port, but it’s not intended for kids. Great for my wife and I to get away. Steps away from town square. Beautiful/historic property.
The service is excellent, and the food is fantastic. You’re ten minutes from the beach and six minutes from the main drag of restaurants including some of the best lobster around. For the price point there’s a few things missing; no mini bars in the rooms, in room dining ends at 9 every day. The pool is fantastic but no hot tub which seems odd given the location. Worth the money for a romantic summer weekend.
