White Tower Castle

After trying a few fully booked restaurants for a table to no avail, we found this gorgeous place that went out of their way to make us up a table. The food was wonderful, the service outstanding and the view was amazing. The amenities looked like a brilliant choice to take advantage of too if you were staying here or visiting for the day.

The spa was incredible! We did the night time slot and it was still very hot outside and light. The 2 hours is enough to do everything 2 or 3 times. Never super crowded as they monitor how many people book the tome slots which is lovely!

We used to love it here when it was the original management. But today was a worrying portent that it could be ruined. Spur of the moment we turned up at 4.45 before the kitchen opens at 5. Place is empty but most if not all tables are reserved. Asked if we could get a quick turn around for a bite, but told by the person in charge that the kitchens at capacity. Cant even do a take away. Loads of unreserved tables out side for a drink but the kitchen cant handle a few extra covers? Wed have been in and away before the vast majority of the other tables had arrived. No initiative shown by the person in charge but then he didn’t seem at all interested in the service aspect. Very poor service and such a huge differnce from previous experiences. Ive now got the feeling that the normal scottish service attitude is taking a hold. I hope that this is a one off and that there will be an intervention and some training to Correct.
