My friend & I had the half day spa package with lunch. This was our first visit, despite living locally for over 30 years! Large car park, separate entrance to spa. Large reception area, very welcoming receptionist. Changing room was also spacious with plenty of lockers. We agree with other reviews that the robes are well worn & on the thin side. That said, the facial and massage I had was amazing. Really relaxing. It's not ideal you access the pool via the cafe, but it is what it is. We loved the big pool. It was quite busy, and the jet pool was out of action, so we stayed around the main pool. Lunch was buffet style with plenty of choice. We only had 45 minutes which is just about enough for a buffet. Overall, we would love to come back.

The hotel is nice, a little bit dated look but very clean! Nice location if you like to stay in the middle of nowhere at times! Biggest plus point is the spa facilities being open until 10pm! Can be a total maze when looking for your room which can get annoying! Overall a decent short stay!

Spa day visit First time visiting and it started with an extremely rude member of staff at reception. It was very obvious that she did not enjoy her job and was not welcoming at all. The spa is outdated and needs some TLC. It was also packed. There is very limited to do. A few steam rooms and a hydro pool. We then went through to the main pool where there was an Aqua class with very loud music. Not relaxing at all. There were no seats available all day. I think combining a hotel, leisure club and spa simply doesn’t work. There was not one part of the day that was relaxing. The lunch was exceptional. Lots of choice and all tasted delicious. It would have been nice to have more than a 45 minute slot though to sit and eat at our own leisure rather than being rushed out the door. All in all I would not recommend for a spa day. The price of £120 each was not value for money and have left disappointed.
