Wow wow wow Room amazing Check in staff and reception staff great! (Extra shout out to Luke - is was very welcoming) Central and great price. Bar staff were a little stuck up but hey, I’ve been there, you can’t be happy everyday.
Stayed here for one night as was going to see a band at co-op live. This is not close by so recommend to stay closer if this is where you are going. The hotel has a nice entrance with a bar and other facilities. Check-in was a simple process. Staff were pleasant on check-in. We were informed that this was a 24hr bar and that we could get served at anytime as the front is always manned by staff. However at our return the evening after the concert. I was desperate for a drink of water or pop, and was informed by the person at the counter that he wasn't serving and that I had to go to the 24/7 Spar that was next door (Its a 5 minute walk and it was passed 11pm at this point.) I had unfortunately forgotten my room number which I am aware was my fault. However when I asked for help I had to spell my name three times out and I still couldn't be found in the system. Bit odd as they had took my details on arrival. The room was large, it was more like an apartment. If your like me and prefer a firm bed, the mattresses here are very soft. There was a few rowdy customers in the rooms near us coming in at the early hours of the morning which I know isn't the hotels fault but does disrupt a nights sleep. Overall this is was just about ideal for a one night stay and where your not at the room or hotel for most of the day.
We only stayed one night out of our planned four-night stay (July 11–15, 2025) due to extreme discomfort from the lack of air conditioning during a heatwave. The fans provided were loud and ineffective, producing only hot air in temperatures over 30°C, making it impossible for us to get any proper rest. With global temperatures rising, hotels should be better prepared to address heat-related discomfort. There are modern portable air conditioning units available, and it’s unacceptable that we paid over £200 per night for a room without proper cooling. The manager acknowledged the issue and promised to follow up regarding a refund for the unused nights (July 12–15), and to send us a confirmation email — which we never received. I sent a detailed email on July 22 and followed up again, but we have received no response. We also came across several past reviews mentioning bathroom mold, suggesting this issue remains unresolved. It is frustrating that the hotel actively replies to public Google reviews but ignores private emails regarding serious guest concerns. We kindly ask the management team to check your email and respond to us as soon as possible. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
