We stayed here and had the most amazing time, it's such a beautiful place. Very secluded, lots of luxurious touches and surrounded by nature. The infinity pool with its own kitchen/bar, the sauna and dinners with amazing views were the highlights for us. So relaxing. The kids adored playing in the treehouse, and the pool cave of course! Lots of games available, outdoor pizza oven, even a pool table! Highly recommended.
We have been there for five days now. Your own hill! What a luxury, so much space in this day and age. Too bad about the hordes of mosquitoes...
We stayed at Wild Boar Mountain at the end of July into August 2025 and this review is based on our experience at that time. I’ll cover both the good and bad points, which I hope will help you decide if this is a good choice for your holiday. Good points: You enter the property through electric gates with plenty of space for car parking. There’s 2 main buildings (main house and guest house), a pool house, plus a number of wooden structures which contain storage for garden things and a laundry with washer/dryer. There’s also a treehouse and shepherds hut. The view is absolutely amazing - you could never get tired of this amazing view which you can admire from the main house, guest house and the pool area. The infinity pool is also brilliant - with the cave and waterfall giving a real wow factor. There’s pool house is excellent with sauna, shower and toilet, as well as a kitchen area with sink, fridge, freezer so you can keep your drinks and snacks at hand. There’s a beautiful seating area near the pool which is a perfect evening spot, and plenty of sun loungers. The pool area combined with the amazing view is definitely the best feature of Wild Boar Mountain. The main house is well equipped. There’s good kitchen / dining area with oven, induction hob, Nespresso machine with loads of pods provided, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, and a table which seats 8. This area is air conditioned (though this was broken during our stay). There’s a bedroom with 2 single beds (not air conditioned, but a dyson fan provided), good bathroom with inside and outside shower and excellent water pressure. The main bedroom doubles as the living room (air-conditioned), with a pull-down Ikea bed, panoramic windows with electric black-out blinds, with a great view across the mountain. Outside there’s multiple patio areas with tables and different types of seating. The guest house is also well equipped with a small kitchen/living area (air conditioned), bedroom (not air conditioned, but fan provided) and bathroom. It has a terrace with seating outside. Points for improvement: The general cleanliness when we arrived appeared ok, however it quickly became clear that a “deep clean” was needed. Given the short turn-around time there are only a few hours for cleaning to be done, and many less obvious spots looked like they had not been cleaned for months. The pull down bed in the main living/sleeping area is really uncomfortable. Given that this is the master bedroom (doubling as the main living area) this really needs to be improved. Do consider whether you want to put the bed away each day - we found this inconvenient so ended up using this just as a bedroom rather than than a living area. The main house and the guest house have many “rough edges” and could do with some refurbishment. For example, the fridge in the guest house does not close as it catches on the skirting board. The floor in the main house is looking past its best and needs replacing, and the dishwasher didn’t work properly. These rough-edges continued around the property: The games area wasn’t usable as the pool table and cues are badly damaged, and is also on a slope(!). The table tennis table is no longer flat (I think due to being warped by the sun). The barbecue was filthy and all the tools were rusty so definitely need replacing. The pizza oven likewise was dirty and rusty - so not really usable. The various loungers around the property all need a good clean - their covers are dirty and didn’t look appealing to sit on. There’s several seating areas and features that would have been great when originally installed but are now rotting or ageing to the point of not being usable. It felt like the property had been closed down over the winter and simply re-opened, without even being checked to see what needed repairing or replacing. Summary The location, the view and the pool area are absolutely stunning. However, given the cost of I was disappointed that general maintenance appears to have been neglected.
