It's a perfect place for family fun, a weekend is not enough, just bring lots of clothes a day swimwear don't forget your dancing shoes And some extra cash to try your luck at the casino. Did I mention a fun boat cruise and speed Boat for those who are not afraid of a challenge 💃💃

Check in process was smooth, though we waited a bit, it was appreciated that my friends and ours rooms were booked close together. The property itself is beautiful, the rooms in my opinion were well maintained, happy that the bathroom towels were replaced daily, though one day housekeeping only attended the rooms after 3. The Water Park is definitely a highlight as is Driftwood Beach (which has the softest sand I've ever walked on). Breakfast was amazing, the buffet is well run and has many choices. Monkeys are prominent, they were not scary or threatening and my kids quite enjoyed their antics. The Casino and Breakfast Buffet areas in my opinion are too cold, we put on jackets in both areas, and then took them back off when we were outside - the Air Conditioning/Controls definitely needs to be reviewed in these areas. The Hotel Swimming Towel Lady was the unfriendliest staff member that I came across - to be clear she was not rude to me, but her demeanor and way of speaking came across as hard, and unhappy. Upon Check out I was quite shocked when I was informed that I hadn't paid for the accommodation in full - even though I had, deposit upon booking and balance upon check in - I paid the amount the person assisting me advised, and I double checked on my booking confirmations, it was definitely the correct amount. I stood there for about 20 minutes whilst 2 staff members were busy, and eventually I had to email all my "proof" to the Supervisor to review and was allowed to leave. I don't like that it feels unresolved.

Disappointing Stay at Wild Coast Sun – So Much Potential, Poorly Delivered Stayed on the 4th floor and was immediately met with excessive noise—definitely not ideal for anyone looking to relax. The lifts were a nightmare: unreliable, slow, and clearly in need of maintenance. After asking to be moved due to the disturbances, I was put into a room that was somehow worse—TV didn’t work, the AC was faulty, and the entire space smelled damp and stuffy, most likely due to mould. The condition of the room was shocking: the shower leaked into the toilet area, the bathroom door didn’t close properly, and the tap dripped constantly onto the floor. Maintenance is clearly not a priority here, which is unacceptable for a resort of this stature. The positives? - Mangwanani Spa was a saving grace. The couples massage was professional and relaxing—truly the highlight of the trip. - The Riverside Cruise for R180 was peaceful, scenic, and well worth it. Great cocktails too—kudos to the team running that experience. Dining and Drinks: A Mixed Bag - Maltos delivered a decent meal. - Panarottis had sluggish service, with staff appearing uninterested and inattentive. - Barcelos was dry, bland, and absolutely not worth it. - Molo Lounge has a great vibe and a lot of potential, but it seriously lacks marketing. Also, please *fix the cocktail machine*—some of us prefer a good cocktail to hard liquor, and that simple fix could elevate the entire experience. Sun Resort Food Stand (Casino Floor): The mutton curry had fantastic flavor but was a major letdown. The meat was tough, loaded with bones, and not what you'd expect for something labeled as lamb. No potatoes either. My advice? Charge more, use a better cut of meat, and deliver on what could easily be a standout dish. Final Thoughts: Wild Coast Sun has so much potential, but the lack of basic upkeep and poor service in several areas makes it hard to recommend. You *should* be proud of your offering, but that means maintaining standards across the board—not just at the spa and cruise. This place could be great, but right now, it's just frustrating and as a person taking my partner for the first time, on our anniversary, it left a lot to be desired.
