We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, and every moment was truly special. The views were absolutely stunning — surrounded by nature with breathtaking scenery all around. It was a peaceful and refreshing stay. There are still more hikes to explore, so we’re already looking forward to coming back for more adventures! The food was really good, and the service made everything even better. A big thank you to Mr.Bhanuka and his amazing team — they were so friendly, helpful, and made sure we had the best experience possible. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of the Knuckles range. We’ll definitely be back!
A perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Nestled in the heart of nature, this serene location offers the ideal opportunity to disconnect and unwind in the wilderness—without compromising on comfort. The facilities are excellent, the food is delicious, and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. There’s no shortage of adventure either, with plenty of hiking and trekking options nearby. I’ve stayed here twice, each time for two nights, and it’s been a truly refreshing experience. Highly recommended for nature lovers and anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.
This place is located in a secluded environment, close to the Knuckles Forest range. At the time we visited (2023 December), the road from Rangala to Thangappuwa was in a very bad state, so we were provided transport from Rangala town. You will require a high-clearance vehicle to reach the property, or else you could park your vehicle in Thangappuwa and use the transport service provided by the hotel. The tents were cozy & the bathroom was spacious & clean. Hot water worked out properly, but the persistent rain caused a blockage in the water supply system which was rectified by the hotel staff within a couple of hours. Towels, soap & amenities were available. The meals provided were authentic but had a very limited range. The staff was friendly and the service was commendable too. Electricity is being provided by a generator for a specific duration. The mobile reception is very low, making the experience a total getaway from the digital world. Guiding services are available at request to go on Knuckles mountain treks and other natural attractions, but we didn't use them. Overall, a very unique experience in the heart of Central Hills.
