Wild Rose Inn

We stayed one night at the wild Rose Inn on our way to Newfoundland and had a great stay. The patio overlooking the garden was a welcoming sight after a long drive! The rooms are big, well furnished and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious!

We had a lovely overnight stay at the beautiful Wild Rose Inn! Especially enjoyed the special touches and attention to detail. For example, our room offered two floral Port Meirion porcelain cups instead of paper or plastic. Our queen sized accommodation was very attractive, very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delightful; orange/apple juice and an assortment of fresh fruit, croissants, bread, yogourt, egg, and tea/coffee. Ample parking space and we were greeted by a cascade of wonderful, fragrant wild rose bushes at the entrance (hence the name). The owner’s family are very friendly and accommodating; we would definitely recommend this gem to others …plus, this quiet and peaceful location is only about 12 minutes from Moncton :)

The place itself is nice, but unfortunately the staff were quite rude. I had booked and paid for an early check-in at 11:30 AM for my wedding day, but I was running late because we were still finishing up with hair and makeup. I asked a friend to go ahead and wait there for me before my wedding pictorials started, since the venue is only 3 minutes away from the church. When my friend arrived and explained the situation, the staff responded dismissively with, “Are you the bride? If not then go.” which came across as very unprofessional and disrespectful. I understand there may be policies, but there are better ways to communicate them, especially on such an important and stressful day. Disappointed with the service, especially considering it was such a special occasion.
