Wild Thyme & Honey

What an amazing stay!!!! Set in a great location next to the river, the Wild they and honey has it all, warm open fires, great drinks, so welcoming. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who escorted us to our beautiful room. We were lucky enough to have an upgrade which also included a drink. The room was really unique and felt very welcoming, we also had a view of the river 😍 After settling in we went down for a drink in the gardens. We sat in a great seat next to the river watching the world go by. After a quick drink we went for a quick bike ride that they supply, just sign in and away to go. The local village is a beautiful place. For that added experience we booked dinner in one of the private pods outside. Again a great thing to include in your stay. Food was tasty, fresh and hot! The next morning we woke up refreshed after a great night's sleep. That morning we had a great breakfast with continental and hot food to choose from. Make sure you at The Wild Thyme and Honey as your next stop over!!!!

A quaint and quintessential Cotswolds inn with 5 star amenities. Honestly they have exceeded our expectations coming from the states - the suites are lovely and the location is superb. We opted for staying here instead of in the city if cirencester (7 min drive by the way) and I’m so glad we did! You have breakfast with a view of the sheep and reindeer farm, the view in your rooms are of the beautiful bubbling ampney brook and meadow where there are a few local public’s walks through the meadow. Stunning and simple but elevated in terms of amenities. Each morning you get a bottle of fresh milk delivered at your door step for coffee in the room! They provide a complimentary bottle of Sloe Gin in your room for the entire stay locally made. Bar tender downstairs created a great sloe gin cocktail on the fly. Our friends came one night from cirencester to enjoy the bar for a few hours and they never made us feel like we had to rush. The staff is incredibly accommodating. The restaurant, The Crown, was so good we ate dinner here two nights in a row! A great balance of accommodation and self serving, they allow you to live in the spaces as your home but everything is thoughtful and available when you need it.

We spent a couple of days in the Cotswolds and this was a perfect night stop for us. The rooms were immaculately clean and staff welcoming. Lots to choose from at breakfast, hot and cold and it made a refreshing change to not be charged anything additional for the privilege. (Delicious croissants!) The only negative was that the room was quite warm, with little ventilation. We will definitely be back. Thank you.
