My stay at Wildcatter Ranch was exceptional in every way. Alongside the warm hospitality, comfortable rooms, great music, and excellent food, I had the chance to gain a deeper understanding of life on the ranch. It was inspiring to see how respectfully and thoughtfully the animals are cared for – the horses, healthy and content, spend their days on wide open pastures. What touched me most was experiencing the land from a different perspective: the fields, the grazing cattle, spotting a curious armadillo, and hearing coyotes call in the distance at night. All of it made this stay truly special for me – a blend of relaxation, connection to nature, and the feeling of being, if only for a moment, part of this remarkable place. It not just an Hotel it‘s a feeling and way of living and caring.

Every time we come to The Estate at Wildcatter Ranch, it’s a reminder of just how special this place is to our family. The views are as breathtaking as ever, peaceful, wide-open skies, lush green hills, and the river winding through the valley. It’s the kind of beauty that never gets old. The Estate has become a gathering place for us and a backdrop to so many of our favorite memories. From morning coffee on the porch to sunset walks down the stone path, it’s where we slow down, reconnect, and breathe. This visit was especially meaningful as we brought our newborn son for the first time. Being here with four generations of family, surrounded by so much love and that view, was unforgettable. Wildcatter is more than a getaway for us it’s part of our story. And every time we’re here, it feels like coming home.

My wife and I chose the Wildcatter Ranch as our first stop on a 2 week Texas Road Trip which is actually our Honeymoon and wow, what a place to start off at!! I cannot use enough superlatives to describe the overwhelming natural beauty of the ranch. From the serenity and awe-inspiring views from the back of our cabin, to the wonderful on site restaurant, we were blown away by everything here. Our initial check-in was handled swiftly and most politely, which is a common theme here, as the staff are all incredible and made us feel so welcome at all times. We booked a 90 minute Trail Ride which was bucket list worthy, our lead cowgirl, Grace, took care of me impeccably as a first time rider and provided a great source of conversation for my horse mad wife who is a very experienced owner in her own right, so they got on great! We ate out at the on site restaurant on both nights and as mentioned earlier, nothing was too much trouble for our servers, who were both amazing, it also helped that the food was of top-notch quality, so compliments to the kitchen team for sure here! From the wide array of wildlife we saw, to an amazing display from Mother Nature with a huge storm on our first night, I cannot recommend the Wildcatter Ranch enough. It's such a special place that we will remember and treasure those memories forever. If you are thinking about going, just do it, you will not be disappointed.
