Definitely in the heart of downtown. You will hear the bars, and the people outside. That said, it really wasn't bad. We were able to sleep through it just fine. The room was super cute, the hotel is super cute. They have a bar that goes til 2am. Only downside was there was no fridge in the room. Would book again :)
Front desk staff were super friendly, warm and welcoming. We used to live in Fells Point so we know the neighborhood well and how loud it can get at night. We stayed during fleet week, it was HOT outside but the hotel was nice and cool, I love the old charm it has preserved. Yes the layout is weird, yes the floors are uneven, but that's part of Fells. We got a very last minute booking and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend to others.
So I am giving this hotel a 2 star rating overall. Front desk staff was very friendly so they get 5 stars, but we felt the price was a little high for what you get. Most Choice hotels have a mini fridge in the room, this didn’t. The floors were the snap together laminate planks that were very worn and damaged with spaces between the pieces and clearly damaged from improper cleaning. This was an anniversary get away and we chose the historic building and paid a higher price but felt like for what we paid it should be better kept. AC worked very well but there’s only a very thin sheet and cover on the bed. We didn’t have much of an issue with noise except for hearing a few doors. Breakfast was very limited compared to what we are used to at the cheaper Choice brand hotels. We wouldn’t recommend for any kind of romantic getaway.
