The Wind Ortakoy is a gem! Its location near the sea is fantastic, and the view from the top-floor balcony (floor 4) is breathtaking. Enjoying Turkish tea up there was a highlight of my stay. Note that the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but there are plenty of great options nearby. Highly recommended!
reception was so helpful and careful. they were helping us at all time and all so sweet . rooms were nice and clean .
When we arrived they offered us for one night to stay in a room with Bosphorus view. The room was beautiful but poorly maintained. It was rainy when we arrived and the next morning when we woke up, the floor was wet as the water from rain was leaking inside the room. The room was not clean. It seems that the bathroom hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned since the renovation as you could see the grout on the tiles. The other room we had was also beautiful but still not as clean as it should be. I guess the definition of “clean” differs for each person. You can’t just do the bare minimum and finish. Some stuff are obvious from the moment you enter, how can one not see them?? For instance, the doors were dirty from both sides. The floor and the carpet as well were dirty. Vacuum is needed. Toilet also was not clean. We found the previous guests false lashes hidden under the cotton pads they left. Seriously? Not to mention the noises during the night and in general. There is a renovation in the lobby area and the situation is a bit chaotic. Also the rooms are not soundproof as you can hear everything, even when others flush the toilet. There is always present a bad smell of cigarettes in the room. It’s a shame to have such beautiful rooms and not maintain them the right way. The only good thing is that the staff were kind and the location is close to cafes and restaurants. To sum up, we didn’t enjoy our stay here and we are not coming back. I really hope that you will take into consideration the above mentioned and will make the required changes as this will definitely make your hotel a better place for your guests.
