We had a fantastic stay at Wish! The hotel is a beautiful property surrounded by lush greenery and a scenic golf course. Its location is ideal — perfectly situated between Foz do Iguaçu and the waterfalls, making it a great base to explore the area. The breakfast was truly amazing with plenty of fresh and delicious options. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the option of buffet lunch and dinner, with a good variety of dishes and overall great quality. Excellent value for money — highly recommended! A few small downsides: our room was adapted for guests with disabilities, so the shower was at floor level, which caused water to spread around the bathroom. Also, the electricity meter in the room made a noticeable noise. Finally, the hotel is a bit isolated, so going out for dinner elsewhere requires a car or taxi ride. Still, these were minor issues in what was an overall excellent experience. We’d definitely come back!
Like the other lower starred reviews, I can attest that the rooms were mouldy and I’ve included the photos too. The room was musty and smelled like mould too. The lamps, curtains, walls and curtain rails all had mould. I would also agree that while the hotel’s main argument for being labeled as a 5 star is that it has a lot of amenities, and yes it does, I don’t agree that this is truly 5 star. At best low 4 or high 3 star. The hotel isn’t bad but calling it 5 star is unfair for the following points: 1. We checked in at midnight at 5C weather and the room was freezing. They left all windows open and it took so long to warm the room. A 5 star hotel would never let guests experience this. 2. The hotel has no free water in the rooms. You have to go to reception to get water or pay for the mini bar. If this were 3 star then that’s fine. But all the 5 stars I’ve been in always had free drinking water in rooms. 3. The room was musty and mouldy. This alone removes half the stars in the room 4. When the room was serviced, no towels were replaced. Again, a 2 or 3 star, fine they forgot. But a 5 star? This is a big no no The label of a 5 star hotel comes with service levels and expectations, not just amenities. I think it would be fair to change the label on the booking sites. On the good side: - food was yummy - staff were kind
Don't get fooled by the pictures. It is definitely not a 5 start hotel! The first room was moldy and the faucet was clogged, the blackout was scratched. They moved us to another room, which was better, but it is not a 5 star room. We were right next door to the deposit and the employees were supper loud early in the morning on the weekends. We woke up because they were talking loud at 7 am. The towels are thin and harsh, the sheets are horrible, the blankets too (those thin brown ones that we give to our dogs). Nothing like a 5 start should be. In the bathroom just hand soap, body lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. No shower cap, no sewing kit, no nail file, nothing of the "basic" things that other 5 starts hotels offer. The pool looks good, so does the gym, but if you are looking for room comfort, run away. I guess they get the 5 starts just because of the pool and sauna. It should be an average 4 star,
