Wolkendorf Bio Hotel & Spa

Great place if you like quiet family time, with lots of activities. Slightly expensive for what it is. We were lucky that we went there during some colder days in summer. There is no AC, so if it's hot, your experience might be very different. But very nice staff, location is beautiful, roads are a bit rough (but we travel in a 4x4, so it was not something that mattered).

Old stale rooms with a lot of small children which means is perfect for families with young kids but noisy for families without kids. The Spa is small and very noisy with kids screaming and running all over the place. The food is good with a large variety.

I was very eager to visit this place near Brasov and it ended up being just a big disappointment. Location and design: well taken care of, but not in a very detailed way. Still, it was one of the 2 positive aspects of Wolkendorf. Food: my family and I came just to have lunch. The food was good, didn’t quite feel the “bio” concept though. Service: terrible. Never have I experienced such a poor service. It just made us leave the place bitter and sad at the end. Did not even want to order desserts anymore, just leave. The waitresses were just rude and mean and ignored us on purpose. The serving time was very slow even though it was quite empty and the staff were talking to one another rather than taking care of the clients. I have no words. Just felt extremely unwelcomed. Parking: we left the car in the parking lot, there is plenty of space. But the exit was blocked by a car. We went back to the restaurant to address the situation and guess what? After 15 minutes one of the waitresses/staff came to move their car which was blocking the traffic. This is simply bad behaviour! We were very much disturbed by all the situations we went through just trying to have a decent family lunch on a Sunday. And no one seemed to care, not even the management. We decided to act politely and just leave, but this place really does not deserve guests. It could have had a lot of potential. Poor human quality. Very poor, very disappointing. Never gonna visit this place again. I will choose to support other well put together local businesses.
