A Perfect Blend of Location, Comfort, and World-Class Service Our stay at Hotel Costa del Sol was nothing short of exceptional, and it has set a new standard for us in hospitality. The location is simply unbeatable, right on the historic and vibrant Plaza de Armas. It’s the perfect home base for exploring the beautiful city of Cajamarca. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family. While Luis in the lobby deserves a special mention for his incredibly warm welcome and fantastic local tips, it was clear that his attitude reflects a culture of excellence shared by the entire staff. Every single employee we encountered was professional, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay perfect. The hotel itself is a beautiful blend of colonial charm and modern comfort. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and quiet. The indoor pool was a wonderful oasis of relaxation after a day of sightseeing. A huge bonus was having the phenomenal Paprika restaurant right in the hotel. The quality of the food and service there was so high that we ended up eating there multiple times. It’s a true culinary gem, and having it just steps away was a fantastic convenience. If you're staying here, you absolutely must try it.

Nice room, good service, reception and hotel staff are friendly, especially Maria Jasmine working in the hotel restaurant. One downside is that the doors shut loudly. For example, I could here noices from doors shut nearby of guests who came back to their room after 11pm and up very early before 4pm.

Nice rooms and amenities. The breakfast buffet is good, too. I didn’t use other services such as the spa or pool. Overall the service was ok and largely dependent on the person. The biggest annoyance for a hotel of this caliber is having to have someone “inspect” the room after checkout. That’s expected in a small, independent hotel perhaps, but not in a global chain such as Wyndham. Also, even from third floor, the music at night from the casino was quite loud…but seemed to stop both Friday and Saturday night around 11 PM or a little thereafter. Rooms 5. Location 5. Service 4.
