Wyndham Garden Duesseldorf Mettmann

I will start my review with the breakfast and service. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. I can give 10 out of 5 :) amazing and beautiful for the Breakfast. It has a great parking place. The location was also great. 24/7 front lobby is available.

Our room was so dated, the furniture was stained and the floor was dirty. The shower door was broken. There was not even a fridge in the room. The bathroom was smelling very musty and disturbing, also the lights were not bright enough I had to take a shower in the dark. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant but the options were limited, only 4 main dishes to choose, 2 of them were nuggets and spaghetti. The staff spoke good English but sometimes they were rude. I genuinely have no idea how this hotel has 4 stars.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! The front desk Sebastian refused to refund the room that was unclean and smelled terrible. The whole floor smelled bad and was dirty. He changed the room to another room/floor that we tried to be okay with (because we are tired and my elder mom needs to rest) but it was still in bad condition, and smelled like febreeze sprayed all over, it was dusty and poorly kept entirely. I told him my mom is sick and I can’t breathe and that we tried and he said to call Expedia and he cannot refund it. I contacted Expedia and they contacted him to process the refund then he denied it to expedia saying “I gave all the possible solutions and offered alternative resolutions and he cannot process the refund and he was unaware” and then he proceeded to lie to me to my face saying I didn’t tell him about my mom being sick in a vulnerable health condition overcoming sepsis and said I didn’t tell tell him - but either way he lied to both expedite and myself to my face in order to not refund $110 CAD. Such bad ethics and morals in this hotel. Same yourselves the time and trouble.
