Wyndham Garden Galena Hotel & Day Spa

I can't speak highly enough about this hotel. I was greeted warmly when I arrived, and check in was a breeze. The main lobby area is beautiful, and there is a very well-stocked pantry with a variety of sweet and savory options along with a nice selection of soda. Everything is modern and fresh and sleek. When I walked into my room, I continued to be impressed. It was spacious, with lots of amenities including a sizable fridge, ironing board, large flat screen TV, work desk, etc. The bed was perfect - Lots of pillows, and a mattress that was just right: not too firm, not too soft. The bathroom was well stocked with high-end toiletries. There's also a fitness room with some of the best equipment I've ever seen. I've been in hotels that charged three times the price and weren't nearly as nice. This is a hidden gem just outside Galena, Illinois. You will love your stay!

Clean and modernized. Located next to many nice places to eat and attractions. just 5 minute drive to downtown Galena. I was impressed by the beautiful lobby and scenic golf course. We aren't golfers, but loved the view. The free breakfast is well stocked. The hotel is only 2 floors and they accommodated our request to stay on the top floor. If you have a EV car, the destination charger is walking distance at the culver's which was so helpful for us, we let it charge while we rested at the hotel. This is best location away from the hassle and bustle of downtown.Good all around! Will stay again. It's a good value.

We booked two separate rooms, 2 adults in each unit. A one bedroom suite and a standard room with two double beds. Overall it was fine, housekeeping staff is on point. Exercise room nice. Evening desk staff friendly. The one bedroom was in slight disrepair as the jetted tub didn’t work and desk with ergonomic chair was nowhere to be found. We did have four full size trash cans which we found odd. The hotel is nonsmoking so smokers go on the nice back deck to light up. This translates to don’t open your hotel window if you don’t appreciate the smell of cigarette smoke. The standard room was fine. Breakfast was nice, pancake machine a novelty. A little fruit fly situation but…tis the summer season.
