Wyndham Garden Montevideo Carrasco

The hotel is siituated in a nice and quiet location, away from traffic noises, close to the airport and shops. Great views to the lawns, pool and lake areas. The staff is nice and helpful, tries very hard to please the guests but it may not have enough backing from management to satisfy guests fully. In other hotels I have stayed, there are extra pillows and blankets available in the room without the need to ask for them. Similarly, good hotels have ironing boards and irons in the room's wardrobes for the use of guests as well as a hairdryer in the bathroom; tea, coffee, sugar, cups and saucers plus milk and an electric kettle as well as cold water in the room's small fridge. Some of these items were available if you were staying in rooms on the third floor but were available only by request to lower floor room guests.

They had only been open about 2 months when we were there - late 2016 - but it seemed like they had been there a long time. Superb lakeside setting, fantastic amenities, thoughtful and friendly staff. Great restaurant, too, but they were still working on that. They even had a breakfast waiting for us at 4 AM! Relaxing, refreshing, and highly recommended!!

Howard Johnson Carrasco is a good Hotel for a short stay, building design is good but Hotel doesn’t offer enough amenities. Now breakfast has a little bit better options but it hasn’t room service.
