Was expecting a little more from a hotel listed as 4 star. Hotel is dated with an uninspiring interior. Room was large but dated with an unusual layout with no elevator access. Staff were inhospitable; didn't expect them to speak English but a greeting or smile would have been nice. Breakfast was dull and bland. I was told no parking available because of construction but spaces were available all 3 nights I stayed. I had to park a 15 minute walk from hotel but at least it was free. On the positive side the location was fantastic.
The staff at the front desk did not speak a word English. The rooms were fine, not anything special, nice and big though. No A/C in the room but that wasn’t needed at all. The breakfast buffet was good, in my opinion very standard. We ate dinner in the restaurant once doing our stay, it was okay but the potatoes were disgusting, they had a jello like consistency, very wird.
Honestly I liked the hotel, the harsh review is more the result of price + no room cleaning service + extremely uncomfortable bed/pillow situation + 12euro on-site daily parking. Just felt a bit too expensive for what we got. Breakfast is fine, very nice staff doing the service. Great location in town
