Wyndham Garden Villavicencio

It’s a beautiful place, wonderful views, lovely rooms but it seems like the typical place where they cut corners. The basketball court is nothing like it shows in the pictures, only half of it is usable and it is in horrible condition. The pool only has three seats with shade, everything else is in the open. A lot of the seats are the white plastic chairs. They also serve the food in styrofoam plates which is horrible for the environment. However, it’s still a very enjoyable place!

Hotel is lacking a lot of maintenance, windows broken, doors not closing or not properly. Issue with the water supply for the shower. Toilet broke down and the bathroom got flooded with water, we used the towels to prevent that the water reached our bedroom. Maintenance was there quickly, however 8 hrs later, after asking several times for clean towels ...still no clean towels. Breakfast is very very basic. No fresh juices were available. Dogs running loose and peeing in the swimming pool area and pooping in the gras area next to the pool. Landscaping looks very nice, and most of the staff is friendly and helpful. Wifi is not stable, and no full coverage in the hotel area.

So far it's left much to be desired. We had a booking through booking.com and when we got to the reception they charged 100k cop more and said it was a website issue; they gave us a room on the third floor and then let us know the elevators are not usable due to covid, when expressing our surprise at this and asking to relocate, they were willing to do so for a fee of over 186k to change rooms. The facilities are in dire need of maintenance, there was a pool of water due to a slope on the balcony floor. The person of the parking lot has to manually elevate a metal bar to allow the cars pass. There seems to be a missing emergency hose on the third floor as well.
